I have Comcast cable and I am thinking about switching from Comcast Digital Cable to Time Warner Cable. I am really hating Comcast right now. They change their packages and I have lost a lot of channels, but they want more money to add the channels back. Just wondering about good/bad experiences with Time Warner. Thanks!

Time Warner Cable is a large conglomerate...a Corporate American icon. I sadly admit that we also subscribe to its services. Unfortunately, TWC knows it has services that people need and an almost god-like monopoly on services so it charges dearly for what it can provide for you. You ought to check out prices of various providers and how much a bundle of services would cost. Time Warner offers bundling of Internet, phone and cable at $129.00 in Texas but its prices may be higher elsewhere...perhaps it offers the same services that another company can offer for less money. Two good websites: www.billsaver.com and www.lowermybills.com may offer comparisons. Good luck.

No one likes Time Warner Cable. Have you ever tried to call their customer support?! I hate them, but in the small town I live in (Los Angeles), they are the only option I have. I am in a apartment, so I can not have a dish, and an antenna doesn't pick up anything. I am considering cutting my cable all together and just doing NetFlix and Hulu Plus, but there are things I would miss.

To be fair, this is not the case in all of LA, I am in the northern part of the valley, some areas one can get stuff with an antenna.

I will say though I have never had billing issues.

I have had Good Luck with them so far. The bills come every month in a timely manner, and the rates have stayed fairly consistent. I have the Digital Cable/Internet Package, and have not experienced any outtages to date. They installed the Equipment when they said they would. Yes, I pay quite a bit for everything, but pleased so far.

The service man was on time polite and even put white cover on his feet. floor guards.
My dog liked him. That is a good sign...

i hate TWC!!! i switched to dish. with TWC, there was always a problem with billing, they never came for repairs when they said they would. their service and repair people are incompetent. the last repair guys tracked mud and OIL through my house. TWC is too expensive.
