I say it's just a waste of money unless you actually NEED the space. Those kinds of monitors have a set resolution, So if you bought one whose resolution was 1024x768, that is the only resolution that would look good on it.

The LCD monitors use less power that a CRT monitor, take up less space, and they just look better in my opinion. If you can afford it, get it. If your going to buy one that is used, check on the manufacturer website first to see if it's still under warranty (if the seller says it is).

Yes. They are better on saving power, they have better picture, and they are easier to transport. Also, their design is much better in every since. The primary negative aspect about it is getting fingerprints on the screen.

They can be pricey, but flat panels are better in terms of ergonomic design (saving space, location on your desk...). Monitors are too bulky, IMO.

The screen also looks better.

Plus they're cool...I think.

i do not know the reason people keep paying those big bucks for those stupid things(i know they are selling all day still) i guess the saying goes "if youv'e got it flaunt it" i mean what else do you put on that little shelf, except those little speakers that come with your computer??? a big waste of money it seems to me!!!!!
