My wife ran our 2003 chevy tahoe out of gas. I have added more gas to the vehicle, but it will not start. What could be the problem?

Over time sediment and impurities settle and collect at the bottom of a fuel tank. When your wife ran the vehicle out of gas, this was sucked up into your fuel system. Your Tahoe has an in tank filter as well as a fuel filter. Check the fuel filter under the hood. Also, as new as your vehicle is, it's unlikely there would be enough deposits to cause this, so try cranking it over a few more times. Good luck.

Get inside the vehicle and listen very carefully as you turn the key forward. It has to be very quiet . You should hear a low hum or buzzing noise in the back of the vehicle . if not , you may have burned out the fuel pump relay/ fuse . or in the worst case you may have burned out the fuel pump. They are electric in the tank and actually the fuel helps cool them . if they run too long on empty , sometimes as they are sucking a few drops at a time they can heat up and go out. Hopefully just a fuse .
