It could have devastating effects on the baby you are carrying. Kariva contains estrogen. Another estrogen pill--DES--used to be given to many pregnant women in the 60s. The children who were born to these mothers have high rates of very unusual forms of cancer, high infertility rates, etc. You can do a Web search for "DES daughters" for more information.

Ok, you're going to hear this from alot of people : Problems with the fetus or baby. No offence to all of you guys, but you're all wrong! I have looked into this becuase I was worried once... and its a good thing to be worried about cuz alot of people don't know they're pregnant and they'll keep taking the pills.

Its not good to keep taking them for a *LONG* time after you become pregnant, but if you still take them for a month or two it will *not* harm you or the fetus. But, yes it is a good idea to get off of them as soon as you find out your pregnant becuase it is something that is completely unnecessary. If you don't believe me, by all means look it up on the net or ask your doctor. It bothers me so much when people recieve wrong answers.

So, if you think you may be pregnant, finish out your month of pills, stop taking any or if Kariva has the fake pills start taking them. I'd say if your period doesn't come within 2 weeks, hop over to your local pharmacy or grocery store and pick up a home pregnancy test.

Best of luck! :)
