No it is not rude, in fact my very best friend in the world and I were just discussing this issue awhile back. And keep this in mind you can say anything to a true friend, and they will not be offended. True friends can say anything to each other.

No, actually me and my best friend were just talking about this the other day. When we first met we hated each other and then we let a year or two go by and we met again and now we are best friends. It's like we both had bad first impressions but in that year or two we changed and we talked things over and actually she didn't like me either. But at least you know they are a true friend because they were honest.

No, not really. Sometimes when you first meet someone, they can get a wrong impression of you. When I first met my very best friend, I didn't care for her either. She acted, so I thought, like she was better than anyone. But that was the farest thing from the truth. We have been best friends for 18 years. I told her the very same thing as happened to you. Don't take it wrong.

Not particularly. It's a mere statement of fact. Any friend who takes offense to such a harmless expression of truth is possibly a tad bit sensitive. Perhaps the words touched a painful chip on the shoulder, or are an indication of underlying insecurity.

It all depends on the tone, honestly. But i will tell you this, the best friend I ever had hated my guts when she first met me. Then after i gave her my brown paper lunch bag to cover her bloody nose one day we were inseparable for close to 12 years. So my point is that what once was no longer matters what matters is that your friends now. But if your friend used a not so friendly tone, then you might want to examin the "Friendship".

If two people are really friends they should be able to be honest with each other. Even if it is a comment the other person may not like, they should say it, and take it in love and realise that it's okay for friends to do that.

Oh no Not at all. It's actually very nice because there are alot of people who I met who I could not stand but I gave them a chance and love them to death. It means when she saw you she thought you where a prude and now that she put her own judgements aside she realize she was totally wrong and saw how wrong she was .
You a good friend and she loves ya

nah, I dislike a lot of people that I become friends with, it's being a human being. maybe that person reminds you of someone you use to know and didn't like. don't try to fix friendship into a nice little package. you can't. I become friends with people when I know their bad ways sometimes. there is no guarantee they will treat me as they have others, I am a different person than the others, I bring a unique set of expectations into a friendship.

No, I have friends who said I looked like a real b*tch when they first met me, but I don't take offence to it because I come across that way to alot of people. They are just being honest.

Not really - they are just being honest with you. There are quite a few people that I didn't like when I first met them, but I got to know them more and they are great.
