Not every country celebrates Independence Day. Most countries celebrate a National Day, but I believe the US is the only one that celebrates Independence Day.
In Canada, our National Day is July 1, and it celebrates the Confederation of our provinces into a nation.

USA - 4th of July (Happy 230th!)
Philippines - Today, Jun 12 (Independence? from Spain-1898) (July 4-Independence from US-1946, no countries conqured after that, so i think it must be the official independence day!)
I'm dual citizen living at the Philippines

I'm with you brother. July 4th.
Keep in mind, not all countries have to celebrate Independence from anything. England doesn't have an Independence Day...as they were the early conquerers that everyone else declares Independence from.

Canada Day doesn't really represent independance, but July 1.
Swiss national day is more like "Armed Interdependance Day" August 1.
