Normally, most dwarf hamsters get along, although teddy bears do not.

Depending on the situation...
1) 2 same gender dwarfs: Your hammies should get along fine! Since they're the same gender, you won't have any unplanned-for hammies.
2) 2 different gender dwarfs: Uh-oh! Hammies everywhere!
3) 2 different species hammies: Possible fight to the death...

It is possible to have 2 hamsters in the same cage/aquarium but make sure it's big so each hamster have their own space. If you bring home two males, they will fight, females fight as well. If she ends up pregnant, be prepared to attempt to find homes for about 12 hamsters. If you keep her impregnated, she'll have a lower life expectancy because she might end up getting uterine cancer.

Female hamsters dwarf and teddy have nasty dispositions toward the male and tend to like to live alone but sometimes will live with a litter mate of the same sex. If they don't get along, remove immediately or the dominant one will kill or kill and eat, the other. Hamsters in groups of 5 or more are forced to get along, that is why you don't see fighting in pet shops, but as soon as you separate them, the fighting begins.

The pet store told me two hamsters wouldn't get along. A female and a male would not like each other at first, but they may come to get along and mate. Or they'll hate the other completely. A male and a male would be likely to fight, just as two females would. Me and my older sister both got a male hamster, we put them together, and they fought. It was like they were trying to kill each other.

Hope this helps!

Don't put them in the same cage. They will fight until one is dead. It's natural for hamsters to do this. You can have 2, but you need separate cages.

Usally hamsters are fine together because when you go to the pet store they have 5 or 6 in a cage. But it is hard to tell because every animal has their things! Yes even hamsters!! lol Good Luck!

We had hamsters at one time BUT we had to keep them in separate cages. Works the same often with rats...some critters just don't get along.

I think that you shouldn't get 2 hamsters because I had 2 hamsters and they ripped each others heads off at the same time. ewwwwwwwwww. In addition you shouldn't because it is better to devote all your time to just that hamster instead of 2

Most likely they would breed (if male and female) or fight (regardless of sex). No matter what, it likely not to be very pretty. Even hamsters that have been raised together can sometimes get into fights that leave one of them dead. I suggest seperate cages.
