People like you should stick to McDonald's. Those edible items are called garnishes. They decorate the plate and make the food look more appetizing. Obviously, the effort is wasted on you.

Try to get to the de cor of the issue. I went to a restaurant with a date that was really into black enamel with gold leaf trim. Everything was beautiful but the Nouvelle Cuisine portions were so meager that I think I was hungrier when I left than when I arrived. I was tempted to take a bite or two out of the table cloth. Ambience only goes so far when you are hungry.( I meant the restaurant was really in to black enamel, not the date)

Restaurants put up designs and decorations to first attract you to want to eat there, but just long enough, so that you'll be subsconciously tired of the designs and want to leave. This is an attempt to turn tables quickly and make more money

You're just showing off because you eat at fancy resteraunts. The closest I get to that is drawing on my happy meal box with a crayon!

I would please to carve sparrow three hours from turnip if impression for this work was appreciation. You accuse them as money eating decorations but they do not digest or eat money. They are but merely to sing from plate for your vast amusing. Do you not sense this in efforts of fancy decoration?
