Foster care is not all that. Just wait until your of age to move out. Or you could talk to your parents about moving out early. I let my son move out when he was (I think it was) 15 and poor thing called me a week later to go pick him up. Then again when he was 17 then he got in trouble and ended up in prison for about a year. Now he's 18 and living with his cousin but I always told him three times and your out. So he is saving his third for I guess when he really needs it. Oh yeah, he did come back home for about two weeks until he got his parole officer to let him move in with his cousin. We agreed that that time was only a stepping stone stop for him. So please think about it before you ask your parents. Because my son, niece and cousin would be the first to tell you it's not easy being an adult. My niece cried for a good three days until she found a job.

Try talking to your parents about whats bothering you so much that you want to leave. If you want to move out and you and your parents both agree it's best try to find a relative you can live with or a close family friend. I doubt very seriously you want to live in foster care over living with your parents - unless there is serious abuse involved. If you are being physically or sexually abused you need to either get to a relatives house or call social services immediatley.

Family counseling is a good place to start. Or talk to your guidance counselor. If school is out, call the office anyway and see if the counselor is available to talk to you. Just b/c school isn't in session doesn't mean that they are unavailable to help you.

I have a better alternative. Jail.

It's like a foster home, except they feed and clothe you. Plus, you get the added bonus of being able to do whatever you want right before you go.

If your parents are good to you and only doing what any good parent would do, giving you rules to follow, then you should be very thankful you have parents who care!

If they are mean to you, beating on you, then you should get help.
