It is an added stress on your body, but it will probably be just fine. You may want to concentrate a little more on eating well and taking extra good care of yourself. Most women--even under the most *horrendous* conditions (much worse than 2 close pregnancies)--will have healthy babies and come out of it just fine, too.

If you follow a healthy diet, there is no reason your impending birth will have any problems. The real difficulty with babies being born close together is the strain on the mom of getting up in the night while still tending to the older child. It's also harder when they become teens as a rule. On the pocket book - clothes and activities.
Enjoy your upcoming birth........the children will be close enough in age to form good relationships throughout their lifetime.
Relax - it's the worry that causes problems. There is nothing to worry about. My 3 sons were all one year apart from the last, and perfectly healthy.

My first son was 5 months old when I became pregnant with my 2nd son. While this is not the ideal situation, both my son and I have had no ill effects from the close pregnancies. It did take me a bit longer after the 2nd child to get back to myself, but with help and support from family and friends it can be done. Good luck. By the way, my boys are now 14 and 15 and are very close.

I had 3 children in a 3 year span. All of my children were healthy and the only thing was I had to take iron supplements so as not to become anemic. As long as you are under a doctor's care you and your child should be fine.
