That he doesn't like exploiting slaves from the Sierra Leone to keep up with the neighbors and that he would rather express his love in less material, meaningful ways.

He's cheap.
But, if you are already married, you can look at that as a positive, because he's not using both your money for unnecessary things.
Or he's really just cheap.
But, you could also think that he treats you really well in other areas, thus diamonds aren't the most important thing.
Or he's extremely stinking cheap.
And in that case, you could just go buy a diamond yourself for the next holiday and thank him for it after the fact :)

it means nothing really either he cant afford to buy you such expensive things at this time or maybe never it does not necessarily mean that he does not love you. my hubby has a good job pays good i can care less if he buys me expensive things all i want from him is a roof over my head, bills paid, food on the table, & clothing, faithful hubby, & a good father which he is all the above i am very lucky to have him in my life be thankful for what you have not what you wish you had think about it.

It is not that he is saying you are not worth it, it is more the fact that he can't afford it? Are you wanting a life style that you can't afford? The old saying goes, Champagne lifestyle on a beer budget?
mayby you should look at what you are asking of your husband, you may want all the nice material things in this world but they cost money and all he can offer at the moment is his love.

That she's not worth it. Even something like "I would if I could" would mean more than that. My ex used to stay stuff like that, and he was abusive. A husband should want to give the world to his wife.

That he's cheap and that he doesn't think you are worth it. The other possibility is he meant that with his income, he could never afford something that expensive. I guess you'll have to figure it out. Good luck.

She better get a J-O-B. He is either cheap or can't afford it. I don't care either way. Diamonds aren't my best friend.
