I think that it's really not nessessary to have "levels" and "points" i think it's jus weird for this Yahoo!Answers to have that....really i think its stupid.

I have to agree with you about the point and levels. Especially since they don't give us anything for the pooints. All the levels do is show that you have answered several questions or have gotten some of your answers chosen as the best answer.

Matter of opinion.
I partially agree with you. At first I'd have to say that points/levels determine a person's activity. The more, the better. That get's boosted by best answers, which give 10 points.
Now. You also have certain people in here called 'point abusers'. You know, when some stud 'asks' the question: 'Hi, how are you?' And then tons of answers like 'Hey, I'm fine, and thx for the 2 points' come. This 'thx for the 2 points' is the killer. you have like 1000 of those - 2000 senseless points.
Which goes back to: Stupid answers come from stupid questions.
So, I support your opinion to like 65%.

I understand your question and point of view. What I don't understand is - what difference does it make to you? I mean,
if you feel this way (and there's nothing wrong with that), why do you pay any attention whatsoever to "levels" and "points"???????

No, points in this site help you only on limits answers and questions, votes, comments and rates. and make some famous to you if you have much.
