Every team england plays against, The English are very good at claiming Scots, Nothern Irish and Welsh nationals as being British when they win at sport but they suddenly become English if they are from England which is one of the reasons the English are disliked. But you have to remember not all Scots are celtic supporters and will not follow the celtic connection.

Thats all depends on what team they support at home. Me being a Tim will be supporting any player that plays his club football for Celtic, though its not looking good for any of them lol. Other than that the nuetrals go for the like of Brazil and Argentina purely for the skill in the game and the odd balls due hope Englands do well, but not win though you wont get them to admit it. Just like when Scotland qualify and England dont, but the Scots dont make a big thing about a fellow uk country not supporting them. England just want to be loved by everyone while they hold every in contempt bless them....

Any team going against England because they'd never support us because we've got too much History to be ignored. Hey Scots and Irish would rather support anyone else than England so it don't surprise me they aren't.

Probably Brazil, Holland or Argentina they've got alot of nations to choose from including the favourites. I'd suggest supporting a country like Ghana or Ivory Coast who look promising as all African nations do right now. I'm supporting them if England go out.

Ghana, Ivory Coast, and England all the way!

I've a few good English mates, who wouldn't dream of supporting Scotland. Which is fair enough, as Scotland is a completely different country to theirs. It's sad to to see their dreams getting crushed every two years though. I blame the English media for pumping up the english public, making the team out to be something its not. I like watching telly, so I wouldn't want reminded every 5 minutes for the next 40 years about '06. Sorry England, the English media has overdone the '66 thing, the other countries within the United Kingdom have long ago gotten bored with it. B.B.C? Aye right! More like E.B.C! So I think I have good reason for supporting anyone but England. If they do though, does anyone want to buy a t.v? Seriously!

Who cares ? but G.anderson is talking complete bo**ocks. He is stating what all Scots would like to believe about the English but probably does not know any REAL English people. It means nothing to an Englishman if someone from "Britain"wins anything unless they are English !!!!!
Alan Hanson is up for England !!!!!!
When Scotland play the majority of English are well up for Scotland and we wish they were in the World Cup so we could support 2 teams and that goes for Northen Ireland,Wales and even Eire so put that in your pipe and smoke it G.A.71

I would think its safe to say that they will be firmly behind any team that the auld enemy plays, due to the fact that their inept German coach pretty much screwed their chances up for them.
The fact the team are inept as well probably doesnt help either. Or that their Premier league is of the same high standard as our Championship at best. Never mind, hope they enjoy watching England in Africa in 2010 too cos they wont be joining in that party either. Serves them right for being so bitter and twisted.

Anyone other than England. This is mainly because we are fed up hearing about 1966.
They manage to bring it into anything on TV, Radio & in newspapers even remotely concerned with Football.
We have been hearing about 1966 for 40 years now so if they win we will get another 40. Please someone, anyone, beats them & send them home in shame.
