Probably about a 15 hour drive and a 3 to 4 hour flight. But I bet you'll have a layover.

I just drove from Alamogordo NM to San Diego CA last Thanksgiving. It took about 12 hrs. I know Albuquerque is 3 hours north of Alamo. So yeah, about 15 hrs.

If you drive, it looks like it will take at least 10 hours. Yahoo estimates 11 hours, and Google estimates 13 hours. These figures tend to be more accurate if you drive the speed limit, but in my experience, these numbers are almost always high.

If you fly, it looks like you would have to fly from SAN to ABQ with a lay over at LAX. The total flight time is about 3 and a half hours. I don't think there are any airlines that fly directly from SAN to ABQ.

go to Yahoo Maps it will give you the exact distance and time it takes to travel from any location to any other location. For flight times go to any airline web site and check out flights to where you want to go.
