Before giving birth to my daughter I sold Glitter for a living.
Here is what I learned:
1) All that glitter's isn't just gold. Silver, Bronze, and Copper are also popular in the world of sparkles and shine.
2) There is a monumental difference between sky blue and powder blue....and there will ALWAYS be someone to tell you this. Just agree.
3) Glitter covers the world.
4) If your product isn't selling, have you thought about adding some glitz? It is proven that, when sitting on a shelf, packaging that sparkles catches the eye faster.
5) There will always be some company trying to make your product cheaper. Who cares.... Quality is key.
6) You can't please all the people all the the time....even when it comes to glitter.
7) Glitter comes in handy at concert events or festivals. It is a chick magnet. For some reason, women love to sparkle. My male friends always encouraged me to bring a pound of Iridescent glitter with us when we went to a show.
and finally: when working in a glitter factory, chances are you will be eating glitter, inhaling glitter and finding glitter every where you go. My apartment looked like a strip club after a busy night. Even under the hood of my car glistened in the sunshine. Glitter is everywhere.

firstly let me say hi to you as it has been a while since i answered one of your questions
before i became a stay at home mum i was a cook so i can pass on a few tricks to you:
1) when cutting up anything bend your fingers back and rest your knife on your knuckles you will never cut yourself again
2) never be afraid to experiment with food if you think for example sour cream and tomato sauce(ketchup) go together then do it
3) always add a little lemon juice to your fruit salad it stops the fruit from turning brown
4) when making a meal always make extra and freeze it for later there could come a time when your sick then all you have to do is heat it up and put your feet up and rest
5) cornflakes make a great substitute for bread crumbs and they taste better too
i think 5 is enough for now i wouldnt want to over load anybody reading this

More is not always better. I am an interior designer and this is the hardest part of my job. Just because you like palm trees, or chickens, or the color blue, does not mean that every pillow, piece of furniture, wall hanging, window treatment, flat surface you own has to be covered with it. Show a little restraint. Good advice for decorating and for life in general.

Middle School Teacher:
Show the kids you still enjoy life and know how to life it and have a blast doing so. Then when you try to teach them a thing or two, they tend to listen rather than tuning out thinking you are just a burnt out old coot just regurgitating information that you'll never use.
Set the bar high......expect them to meet it. When they don't, don't let them avoid you out of fear. Seek them out. Reach out and show them you care and find a way to help them meet success the next time. If the kids know you have faith in them, they tend to have faith in themselves as well.

Don't know if this is what you mean..
I have had several occasions to work with people who constantly state they are 'bored'.
I learned a long time ago, never to openly admit being bored. There is always something that you can do, and if you don't find it, someone will find it for you, and it probably won't be something you like to do.

When the kids are out of school for the summer, I keep them active (and avoid BORED), by taking them to the library, museums, zoo etc. When we finish each thing, I have them write in a binder what they experienced. Helps them with writing skills and keeps em busy.

Nice pic. I wash windows for a living and use regular dish soap, that's all that's needed, no vinegar, ammonia or whatever.
Keeps my hands soft while I do the windows, I'm soaking in it.

Buyer in oil/gas industry:
Always deal honestly with your vendors. It pays off in the long run. They will bend over backwards when you are in a crunch.
