Just ignore everyone in the room. They say you're suppsoed to look at the audience, so what I do is look at the wall behind them. I just memorize my speech and give the speech, totally ignorning everyone.

I know this will sound mundane but it will really help.
Practice.
Make the presentation exactly as you would in class. If you can find someone to listen, great; otherwise do it alone. The more you run through the presentation the more it becomes a habit. When it comes to the actual presentation you will no longer need to remember anything or have to think about how to act. Your body will already be familiar with what you need to say, how to move, how to act. Things will go much more smoothly and you will be much less nervous. It is hard to believe until you try it a couple of times. The change is very surprizing.

Since it is the class, prepare your presentation so that you don't actually look at them. Practice looking at the wall in the back of the room. If you use a podium, don't cling to it. If you use a microphone, don't breath into it. If you use gestures, prepare your presentation as if it were a painting and in front of you is the canvas, or canvases if you need more than one. Use gestures as if you were pointing out things in the picture and painting things onto the canvas. In your imagination, see the canvas develop as you give your presentation. You will appear to be looking at them, but in fact you are looking at your imaginary pictures. You can actually use pictures on the podium to help you remember your presentation, and draw the story on the 'air-canvas' for the audience.
This method has produced 1st prize competitors. It works.
Remember the basics of a presentation. Time, place, logical development, point emphasis, questions to be answered, conclusions to be drawn. When you get over your fear of presenting, you will find it challenging and enjoyable. Go for it! If you are going to do it, then do it. Don't worry about it.

Relax and Breath before your presentation, Try to imagine that this class isn't any different from the psych. class and the people aren't any different. Put yourself on a high pedestal, in the driver's seat and not the class. Good Luck! I'm rooting for you!

Practice in private EXACTLY how you will do it public. Speak exactly the same. Do it tens times or more. Aim at a wall to hear yourself better. Read a book or www artlicle on body language, mannersims, speech patterns. Know your subject matter. Anticipate questions. Go back and practice more. Take a little caffiene just before hand to boost energy. Your energy will attract listeners and help to make yourself more animated and interesting.

practice practice practice... the more you have your presentation memorized the easier it will be to execute it and the less anxiety you'll feel. Maybe it's not the people but the material...maybe you're just more comfortable w/ physics than english.
Oh and imagining your audience naked really does help as well :)

PREPARATION! Practice until you're sure you know it thoroughly. Don't fixate on a particular person (at least, that's my approach), Also, is the presentation from memory or a script? This will affect your focus. Be entertaining, be brief, be seated.

this worked for me in college think of the people in your class and come up with things in their lives that are really messed up--i.e. bad smell, bad hair--this will make you realize that you do not need to impress them with anything because they have problems too--it will relax you--prayer for peace in your mind also helps in everything in life

If everyone has to do it then it should make you feel better! Pretend they are all strangers and you don't know any of them. Or pretend they are naked :)
