I know what you mean...Buy a cheap pool or a trampoline. MAKE THEM! Take the controllers away for a day or every other day. I just threw mine outside. One of them tried to take his PSP! lol. Good luck.

Ps2's in fact all games consoles are addictive things. I know because I have been addicted to computer games for over 15 years now and cant go more than 2 days without gaming otherwise I get withdrawl symptoms and turn really grumpy.

Dont take the ps2 off them completely as like me they could suffer withdrawl symptoms and things could turn out very badly. Instead limit them to a certain amount of time on the console per day possibly 1 hour and if they are extremely good maybe 2 (which gives them an extra insentive to be well behaved). If they are naughty then make them go a day without it as punishment. They may be a bit p*ssed of about it at first but they will get used to the routine. Im guessing it will probably take around 1 - 2 weeks possibly even 3 give or take a bit.

They will probably want to play outside after they have reached their time limit instead of being in the house with not much to do.

There is a device which lets you limit the time your kids spend on a PS2, which can be attached to it, and will cut off the power when a set time limit (predetermined by you with a numerical code) expires.

Could be quite annoying if your children haven't saved though - you'd never hear the end of it.

Oh you so funny.

Bring the PS2 outside. It's the only way it'll work to get them outside. Trust me, this is a KH 1 & 2 (PS2 game) addicted 11 year old here!

Either that, or get 'em a pool as big as mine and get all their friends at the house.

Confiscate the PS2. Make it that they are only allowed to play on it one day a week they'll have to find other things then to amuse themselves with. It's cruel but effective

Show them to other kids that play outside, get them a football and other outdoor stuff. But don't get them hanging out with other kids that play video games (many do) because they will just stay at your house eating all your food playing games..

Swimming, building a fort, and if they are not old enough, a sandbox with the necessary plastic shovels, etc. that will ignite any child's destruction gene. There is still the normal playthings like bike rides, in-line skating, skateboarding, and even scooters. Hope this helps!
