Who are "our kids"? That's a decision exclusively for the parents of each individual child to make. Think "Elmo's Number Farm" is too violent for Junior? Fine. Don't let him play it. Just don't expect the rest of society to be dumbed down just because some parents think their kids are too fragile a special snowflake to be exposed to anything. That kind of Harrison Burgeron thinking is for people who can't make decisions on their own, and you'll get the society you deserve: a country filled with Smurfs and Barney, with absolutely no adult discourse or options whatsoever.

NO way this is just an excuse for violent children my son plays all of em and he is 10 he one of the most placid children you will ever meet. I think it all has to do with the family environment, i used to watch violent movies all the time and i certainly am not an axe murderer.

Some may be but parents should control that. And the kids need to understand it is just a game for entertainment only.

LIFE is too violent for our kids. You can't control that! Video games give them control. Just don't let them go overboard. Watch the games they play. If it's too much for you, it's definately too much for them.

yes some are, that is exactly why they come with protective ratings for parents to go by. keep an eye on the games your kids play and keep an eye on their ratings. if you don't think they should be playing a particular game, take it away. they may be mad but at least they won't be as screwed up later on down the road.

I think the parents need to realize how mature their kids are. If there not mature enough to kill people in a video game then they should not get the opportunity too.

If they're 6 years old, easily influenced and they're playing Grand Theft Auto, then and only then are they too violent. People shouldn't blame games for violence, it's nieve and stupid.

No, As long as the children understand the scenes from the video game are fictional and should'nt be recreated
So if your worried about it.... Discuss it with your children

It depends on the game you play. Yesterday I was playing "Love me, love you" with my neice, which is a game about giving kisses to to people who AREN'T peadophiles. On the other hand today I was playing "Shoot the bastard, in the Ar$e" with my mum. She won. Biyatch.
