I always recommend anyone to get Opera. the new Opera 9 Beta version has so many cool "built in" features that once you use it and find out what it offers you want use anything else. In fact I'm still learning new things it offers.
Plus if you plan on getting a Nintendo DS or a Wii they soon will enable web browsing through Opera software.

There are many browsers available currently. But the first browser was the NCSA Mosaic. The list of available browsers is very large. The most popular are IE, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Classic, Opera and Netscape. Lynx and Konqueror are popular Linux browsers. The whole list of browsers is available in this page:

There is AOL browser its really cool...go to www.aol.com and download it. Then theres Avant, Netscape, You might want to go to cnet.com and type in browers in the search box, see what is there! Hope this helped.
