In Indiana my husband and I could easy support our lifestyle on about 30K. My parents who really seem to enjoy frugality live on about 12K. They own their own house and cars are all paid off.
That is assuming you have health care coverage. If not who knows???

Including house payments (interest only of course) , food, gas, utility bills, car payments, insurance....
...if nothing breaks down, or needs maintenance, or medical attention....
..for a family of 3 in northern California near the coast...
the ABSOLUTE minimum would be about $32,000 a year, and that would be tough.

Seems like the more money i make the more i spend so i can adjust accordingly...the least amount i could work with is $25000 at least then i could rent, eat, have transportation , entertainment etc.....i live in Toronto and work in social services
