There isn't one. The town is never mentioned in the movie, only in the books it is mentioned that she lives near Butterfield. Butterfield does not exist in real life, so that doesn't really help any. In the book Return to Oz, it says Dorthy lives outside Franklin, which does exist.Then again in some publicity material Baum had for his 1904-05 comic page, Dorothy writes a letter to her old friends and the address given is "Uncle Henry's Farm Near Topeka." In addition, there is a tourist attraction in Liberal, Kansas that called Dorothy's house, which is a relocated farmhouse built in 1907, along with the original model of the house used in the film and a collection of memorabilia. So basically, I guess there isn't an answer, but any town in between Topeka and Franklin will do....

I don't think they told the name of the city. They just mention Kansas.
