Firstly I would never accept advice from someone just taking sex ed! I think as you are an adult and have already had a child, it isn't necessarily that you don't know when to baby dance. C'mon people...but as another poster posted, maybe your just not timed right. I also love how people assume once you turn 30 you can't have children as easily. I know way too many women that decided to wait until they had their careers underway to start having children and some were even in their 40's. It may have taken them a little longer but there were definately no complications or birth defects (since that seems to be another misconception). All I can say is ask your doctor, maybe check out a fertility specialist if it's financially possible and keep on trying. I wish you so much luck and hope you get the results your looking for...

There is no enough information in your question. There are any number of possibilities. Maybe you were marginally fertile the first time around and just got lucky. If you have a different husband now, maybe the first one was fertile, and your new husband isn't. Maybe you developed some difficulty with fertility unrelated to the C-section. You didn't say how long you'd been trying to get pregnant (the whole 12 years? or not?); maybe you just haven't been at it long enough; it can take up to 6 months to a year to get pregnant. Maybe your fertility has just declines as a result of being 12 years older. Or maybe there was some damage done as a result of the C-section.
Before seeing a fertility specialist, I would suggest you read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler. It will help you determine if you are fertile and maybe point you in the right direction if you aren't.

C section cannot affect your ability to get pregnant.
To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.
After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex.
After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.
Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 5 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job .

Well giving birth is by chance really... so you could just be unlucky. If you want to concieve, have sex like a week or so before your period. Then again I am only learning about this in sex Ed this year...

The c-section shouldn't have anything to do with your fertility. Seek medical advice hon.
Sticky baby dust to you!

There could many different reasons. You should see your doctor. He/She could perform tests to see why you are unable to conceive.
