Is it possible that they did an incidental appendectomy? Often times, when they are "inside" the abdomen for another reason, they will remove the appendix. The belief is that the appendix is of no benefit, BUT a big risk for infection. I suggest that you get a copy of the surgical consent form that you signed, and review it before you proceed, and of course speak with your surgeon.
Hope you feel better soon.

Yeah. But you really aren't missing out on anything important because the appendix is said to cause some problems anyway. Maybe it was taken out for a reason and you just missed understood. Go and ask your doctor for a more detailed explanation of why your appendix was taken.

Why would you want to sue. Ask them for your money back & you got a free apendectomy.
It will save you having to worry about it in the future. You don't need an appendix. It is just a problem waiting to happen.

Well. if you knew that your appendix was taken out then that would be your problem, and if the doctor attacked you from no where and brainwashed you or somthing and stole your appendix(which might i say your appendix does absolutley nothing in your body its just their, just like your tonsils) I guess you might have a good case.

Did you got the hospital complaining of stomach pain. Because actually you could sue, if they didn't have any prove that you appendix wasn't infected.

that depends on a few factors, what type of surgery were you scheduled for ? if abdominal, gyn? sometimes it is routine for Doctors to remove the appendix, especially if the appendix looks a little funky (questionable) and did your doctor voluntarily tell you that he removed your appendix?
