Jilly, the fact that you are willing to try is a GREAT start. I know (from personal experience) that the homework does get harder with every year. There is a law called the Williams case and it requires that schools provide all students with 2 sets of books. 1 for the classroom and 1 for at home. The books provide examples of the work they are currently having the children do. Plus many of them have answers in the back. For other help, try speaking to the teacher or the (math coach or Literacy coach) and ask for some help to better assist your child. Our school provides classes for parents even in high school to assist with home work. Try and find comfort in knowing that you are not alone. Be specific on where you need help perhaps I could provide a web site for practise. Also FREE HOMEWORK HELP at www.colaplublib.org.

Do as best you can. Hope you're talking about High School Students.. Be really funny if you weren't "clever" enough to help elementary kids.

firstly find out what topics they are doing and then you can do extra re search for your self (via internet) and then pass it on to your children
also i think that you can by topic work books so that you can let then study alone through study books while you might be doing other things then after you can check there answers.

Also flash cards work very well so write key information down on small cards and then you can use bright colourful pens so that it sticks in your childrens minds (i benifited from this :P)

First of all, try as best as possible to learn the things they are learning and will learn, read good books, develop your brain and develop a fervour for knowledge. Don't think that you are not clever enough. I believe that you can do it. :-}

talk to the teacher and ask them!

I cannot help my son with german, but all I can do is give him my support! However, if you are struggling in all his homework, why not go back to school and study with them?

I still think the reply, 'ask here' was a good one!

Try Wikipedia...

My parents weren't "clever" at some things, but at some they really excelled at. You can never not be "clever" at anything - "clever" is relative..... all you have to do is give it your best shot!

get a tutor. Ask the school's guidance counselor or a teacher for more information. Or you could always ask a friend who has an older child in the same district that can answer your questions. but don't rely so heavily on them that it gets annoying

You obviously thought you were 'clever' enough to bear children, so you figure it out!

Ask questions here. In this category.

Most people will not do the homework for you, but they will help you, or give you internet sites to go to as resources.
