I am using it for: School work, browsing the internet ( i have wireless router, and internet ).

It sounds pretty good but a lot of it depends how you use it. For school and browsing the interent it's going to do just fine.

maybe you should boost the processor a bit and the video card but for what your using it for it's fine. But RAM is good for internet and you should boost it to 1024MB (1GB) of RAM. You could get desktops for a lot cheaper then 765 bucks that are better then that, but if you like the moving around thing that should be ok.
Also Intel is better for internet stuff, AMD is more for games.
take a look at these websites first. Also if you are going to be playing any games it wont work out so good.

Good computer but definitely get the free RAM upgrade. That is just too good to pass up. Since I suspect you are not a gamer, the video card will work fine. AMD 2.0 Ghz processor......look online for a cooling pad for your lap top. AMD chips tend to run pretty hot. 5400 RPM HDD is fine but you should go and find a 7200 RPM (I know they make them for laptops). Programs and windows will run faster with the faster HDD.

1000 dollar computers are normaly fine . so get something with a little bit higher price.

I don't know about your specific computer, but I have a compaq and it's been pretty good for me.

this is a great and very good labtop for anything you use, like games and programs and working etc...

just enjoy with it.
