Did you mean sugar subsitute? Aspartame should be avoided...also if you are going to breastfeed. Sugar is okay as long as you aren't on any special kind of diet. Many diet products contain Aspartame and you shouldn't use them. If you like diet soda or foods with sugar subsitutes, look for items that use Splenda. Splenda is made from sugar so it is safe. Diet Rite soda uses Splenda.

well it can make you gain ALOT of weight and the baby will be big. Also you can get gestational diabetes from it. Its a type of diabetes when you are pregnant. The baby is over 8 lbs normally and you have to monitor your blood sugar before and after you eat anything.
