Racism refers to "race", that is skin color and the configuration of human face. Disliking someone because of their nation is nationalism.

No it doesn't have to involve colour, it is just that that is what is often portrayed. I would never say I am racist. An English person not liking an American, I don't think that is racist because it is not race. Americans could be of any race, just as English. I think that the colour thing is because different races tend to be different colours. Even in, for example, the Asian community, there is racism because of the "caste" system where the lighter coloured people think they are better than the darker coloured people.

Racism is about Race, English people are a race and Americans are a race, so if someone dislikes people just because they're American or English or Spanish or Greek or whatever, then that's racist.
