I see people asking for and offering out gmail invitations all the time. What is so great about it?

It's different, in a way it's more similar to chat than email. You never delete stuff, emails are saved as conversations. It's not for everyone. I have an account but my fav is still Yahoo Mail. If you want an invitation I can send you one.

Well, go there and check it out yourself.
Gmail has a spam filter that actually works, is available in like 40 languages or something, offers you much more storage than most other web mail servers and is really easy to navigate.
It's really a great service.
You can also attach huge files, great for me when I forget my flash drive and have to work on my indesign homework at school.

lots of space to keep all your mail .
i got all three yahoo.hot mail,and g mail
i like the notifications of gmail with out a messenger

Nothing it is just another thing to get and reseave e mails from so it is a good thing for some people and its free so y not?

It's free email from Google but there's a lot of problems with it apparently.

u can chat with other people inside it and also it organizes all the messages in one little group for a single person and u can see how all the conversations went. and it keeps getting bigger how much space of emails u can have. its at 2751mb and climbing (it may be higher or lower than wut i said)
