because people have their own insecurities so when they feel threatened by something or someone they become jealous..when people are comfortable with who they are and they feel worthy of things they don't get jealous. its all about peoples view of themselves.

People get jealous because they think someone has it better than they do, they have something you want or someone's love that you want.

To overcome the jealousy, look beyond the surface. Everything that looks great isn't always great. Someone may look like they have it all, but are doing worse off than you.

Insecurity or unhappiness with what you have. I don't know how you overcome it - I would if I could! I guess just try and accept what you have and realise that when other people appear to have something better than you, in reality that may not be true.

You will realise that some people get jealous for different people and not all. Why is that?
This is because in some cases they are confident with their situation at that time.
Another thing, people don't get jealous for someone that they don't mind loosing.

People get jealous because it's human nature. To get over being jealous, I think about it so much until I get used to the idea of whatever/whoever it is I'm jealous of.

Because it stems from insecurity and self sonfdence. Sometimes in past relationshipsomebody has been dishonest and/or unfaithful. The person has not found resolve in the deceit and the person who was hurt tends to overlay that mistrust onto everybody she/he has a relationship with.
