I use hotsauce in a spray bottle. It only costs about 99c for a generic brand. Use it full strength. Once the squirrel takes a bite he will be very surprised. After a few times, he should not return! After it rains, you must re-spray the area. We do this to protect our bulb plants as
well as any regular plant. No animal or pest wants to eat hot sauce! You can even add red
hot pepper to it if you want. Taste it first, you will see what it tastes like. Good luck!

Plant a couple of wooden stakes nearby and attach small aluminum pie tins to them with a piece of string. Even the slightest breeze will cause them to swing and bang against the stakes, making a metallic noise that will scare the squirrels away. This is how I keep rabbits out of my garden, it should work with squirrels too.

a BB gun or a neighbor kid with a BB gun. I pay 2 bucks for each one he gets and he has to get rid of the dead squirrel
