Of course, he's probably most concerned about issues that you can deal with, and just being open and honest with him will be the best thing.

It's really, really great that you can talk with him.

try this search, puberty/ common questions and answers. My 11 yr old son asked me the same things, Luckily enough he asked me not his mother. She'd be too embarrassed to answer. And seeing my job did entale having to teach things like this, i was very comfortable chatting with him. I'm a male Nurse/paramedic, if I canbe of any help just e amil me and I'll do the best that I can.

Be open with him. It's better for him to hear it from you than from kids at school, and it will strengthen your bond of trust with him. Check out www.scarletteen.com. If he's asking about puberty, he's probably wondering more about his personal changes rather than sex at this point. Make sure you let him know that he can always come to you with questions or concerns.

YOU need to be able to talk to him. If he feels you can't help him, he'll get his info elsewhere. Look up the info yourself or together. Most likely, he's got a specific question in mind. Keep the communication open. He needs to be able to come to you.

well your son is going through puberty so it is normal for him to ask about it- his school health teacher may be useful- or an older uncle or trusted male adult

Go to your local library and get books for his age group. Sit down with him and go through the books with him. I did this with my 2 boys and they learned just fine.

What sort of questions does he ask? Mention the question and we'll provide you with answers to it so that you could relate them to your kid better and make him understand with a better level of comfort.
