I had two friends in middle school, but we went to different high schools. Neither of them seem to want to keep in touch, but I do. Should I just let it go?

Don't let go....i was in your situation a couple of years back..... i moved out of the country and they all stayed. i tried my best to stay in touch with them, but none of them really responded, or encouraged me to carry on.
Whenever i'd go back, i'd unite them all together, and we'd have a reunion...but as soon as i leave the country, the same thing would happen.
So when i came back to stay for good, i tried to unite them again, and we did for a couple of times and then we all got distracted and busy with our lives...
We met again a couple of years back at a friend's wedding. We decided to have a reunion again for old times' sake...we did....and we just kept doing it every month. First week of every month is set for a reunioun and we never miss it....
We're all grown up now. Most of us are married with children. But whenever we meet, the kids inside us emerge and we have a blast.....we are NOW, truly an unbreakable family.
It took a lot of hard work, but i never gave up.....but the results are more than worth every minute of it....
Keep it up, i'm sure you'll get there sometime, i just hope it doesn't take as long as it did with me.

You can try to keep in touch and put an effort forth to get together/hang out - but if they aren't interested there isn't much you can do. Try to see if the friendships can last - but if they are more interested in making new friends at their new schools you just have to move on and do the same.

I would let it go. Since they don't want to keep in touch it will save you a lot of heartache in the long run. I am sorry. I have lost touch with a lot of friends myself.

Well all you can do is try.. but remember that it takes 2 to keep in touch.. and that for some they would reather just put the past behind them and move on with there life... But I would say that you should at least try.

If you have tried to keep in touch and they don't, I would just let it go.
