If I were the president with absolute powers I would.
1. Cut off most all foreign aid.
2. Seal off the borders with the method that would produce the best results.
3. Totally revamp the welfare system.
4. absolutely all but stop(you could never completely) the Drug problem with what ever it takes to do it.
5. Impose a flat tax.
6. Trash many of the so called help programs.
7. Limit credit spending
8 See that everyone in Government is totally responsible for their actions. (Including myself)
9. With the savings because of the reduction in spending grant every one a Major Medical Policy. (Not socialized medicine)
10. Hold medical Doctors accountable for mistakes as well as all members of the medical profession.
11. Deport illegal aliens.
12. Employ the merit system in education.
13. Death penalty for capitol crimes . Include sex offenders.
This would be swift. No lingering .
I could think of more, but since none of these ideas would be considered in our "free society". Why would one want to put forth the effort?

I would not want to be president right now. W has made such a mess of things I don't know where one would begin. It is not like we can just bring our troops home at this point, if we did that we would be leaving Iraq in more of a mess than it was before we went over there. We have to get out, but how we get out is the big issue. I guess if I were president, I would resign.

If i was the president, child molesters would get more time than they give them now. I would do every thing in my might to help out the Hurricane Katrina victims instead of putting all of my focus into just the looters. I mean the looter were important but what could they really do with a tv or anything else if they were homeless? I really wouldn't have care about that. If i was president i wouldn't be all for the wealthy. I would do things to help Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. President Bush did not want to extend the May 15th deadline for the elderly because he felt that they had enough time to enroll into the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan. When in fact these are elderly people who have little or no income and without their medications they can get very very ill. The whole Medicare Prescription Drug plan will be different. For one it was waaay too confusing to these elderly people because there was waaay too much information on it when it is really simple. Minium Wage will be more than six dollars and fifteen cents because who can really live on that? I would say at least seven dollars and fifty cents. THere will be more health,deantal and life insurance plans to help people with little or no income. I would let ex felons vote. If they have done their time and suceeding in society by not causing any trouble then why not let them vote? More service will be there to prevent alot of the teenager pregnancy. iI would not go to other countries to tell them how to run their country.Shelters for homeless people would not put the homeless out after so many days. Shelters would house homeless up to six months so that they can find a job and save up money.Less violent offenders would not get sentenced to years in prison but will be punished in other ways after their time is served.i would not legalized gay marriages because that just is not natural or normal. i would leave iran alone unless they were ******* with us!! I would bring our troops home! I will lower gas prices! Damn people have to eat and this ******* gas is sky ******* high! Make people work if they are able that are public assistant instead of sitting on their *** all day or half *** working! if a mother or father don't want to pay their child support then they will serve their time in jail. However if a mother puts a father on child support that is not the father ( other than someone who wants to pay)then she will pay a fine, get charged with fraud and spend time in jail! Murder will be a automatic life sentence. YOu take someone's life then yours is taken by spending it in jail. If it was self defense and really self defense then, no jail time. i can write more but ican go on all day and night.

For a start I would try to end the war. I would put a complete stop to illegal immigration stop gay marriages.civil union is OK .Stop this new insurance so called affordable drug plan that speaking for myself cost over $3500 more a year than it did.Lower gas prices and listen to the American people.Look out for their interest. try to get America back to the way it was while I was growing up.

I'd end income taxes and build a fund to PAY not tax every American. 2 nations and Alaska do it so would I. I'd use all the best things they do in thier programs and do even better than they do at paying all Americans. Children born here of illegals would NOT be citizens. I'd build clean electric power plants all across America like www.permanentenergy.com shows and make millions of high wage power plant jobs. I'd rebuild all the roads to use the clean power to run electric cars and trucks and make millions more high wage jobs. I'd build enough clean power to clean ALL the polluted water. I'd reengineer the US gov so it worked like customer service in our department stores. A true the average citizen comes first Gov. The rich would have to fend for themselves they have enough money to do that. I'd make all the foreign tax cheats pay the tax they owe for access to our economy to sell their goods. I'd register all the illegals and get them on the tax roles. The illegals and foreign tax cheats would pay 10% more than the tax we had to pay to replace the money for our Gov operation. I'd do anything, leave no stone unturned, to see that no child was hungry or without the money for food and health care. Every one gets paid so no mom is stuck in an abusive home without the means to just leave and make a good life for her and her children! No one would be homeless they could afford to live with a fund paying what I would call the National Income Program from the fund I'd set up. I'd go all out to bring the Star Trek life style to every American. I'd make it Treason for any elected official to take any kind of graft! I'd completely do away with lobbyists that buy our officials, it would be Treason to do so! I'd make it so no Rich people are elected officials, they don't represent the population! No lawyer would be officials thats a conflict of interest to make laws you will go out and prosecute. No one after being in office would be allowed to represent anyone but themslves in doing business with gov. I'd weed out overspending by letting whisle blowers have place to speak with being penalized! They would be rewarded instead! I'd move heaven and earth to make America THE shining example for ALL the world to envy! No one in gov sevice would be allowed to rest until all this was done.
