Hi Luciano,

It sounds as though you need to work on finding new groups to socialize with. And it might help to find groups that involve people from other countries.

I don't know much about Norway's culture, but your life sounds very lonely. Is it possible for you to travel to other countries? Perhaps volunteer for an "NGO" - a non-government agency that helps people in other countries? You're a young adult with your whole life ahead of you, so start taking charge of it right now.

But if you are stuck at home, the internet can be a good place to find interesting people to interact with. But please don't rely on places like Yahoo Answers where participants can't have a true discussion. Find listservs (email discussion groups) for subjects you're interested, especially ones that attract an international membership. I did this back when my kids were younger and I was mostly stuck at home. I enjoyed discussing a science fiction tv show that was seen in the U.S., Europe, Australia and South Africa, so I made wonderful "virtual" friends from around the world and we had very supportive off-list email exchanges. Then I started traveling to science fiction conventions where I could then meet many of these people face-to-face and that is where I've met many of my best friends who are still my friends today.
