You can't change your sexuality... you can only choose to accept it or not to accept it. You can try to keep your urges under control, but know that it's going to be very difficult and very draining to try and suppress who you are. Why not just accept yourself?

You can boink chicks all you want. That will keep you straight sexually but you will never be happy. Lower your standards a bit. It would suck for your headstone to say "he was noided about being a 'mo". Life is too short. At this rate you will be 65 before you accept that you like dudes and by then your di ck will have given up on you and stopped working altogether. If guys weren't made to be fuked then there would be no gay dudes. Just know that you are not the first one to be at this stage in your life. its all been done before and all of them will tell you that it will never work stuffing your heart in a drawer.

ei dont get me wrong dude. Been thru what you're going thru. and i agree with huhwat. Accepting urself is just the way to go. Praying to God to change u as how he made u now wouldnt do anything. I am an active member of the Chruch community. First hand, if you tell ur family.. i'm sure they'll be shocked at first but will eventually accept you as who u are. Blood is thicker than water bro.
by the way.. I'm out and proud but I'm not flambouyant. imagine a typical rockstar who just happens to be gay. hehe
anyway dude... dont suppress. You'll feel totally miserable. Praying to God to make u straight wouldnt really work. Instead pray to God for guidance and for the enlightenment of ur family, friends and people in ur life to be able to accept the way you are completely. ANd most importantly pray for strength to come out and be urself and pray hard to God to give u a sign when the right moment and time would be to come out to ur family.
God bless you bro! We're here to back u up! :-)

This is a joke of course. Some guy that dislikes gay people comes to that area of YahooAnswers to post a bogus story. Some "God told me to yell at the kids" type. Don't you think you would spend your time better learning about God's love for all his children, not posting bogus stories online?
For the poor teenager that is feeling confused about realizing he is gay or that she is a lesbian or even bisexual then to you I say, don't worry. Wanting to be "normal" is a feeling everyone has about some issue at some time in their life. You are fine... great even. You will feel better when you find out who you truly are, then you can be happy and live your life. Try to find a youth group for GLBTQ (the last one is Questioning youth) in your area so you have someone to talk to that will not judge you.

I was in the same boat for most of my life. Im a bisexual male also and have been just as attracted to men as women for as long as I can remember. There is no real "method" of staying straight, its a matter of deny yourself or go with it. No one ever discovered a treatment for people who have homosexual feelings but would rather live a normal life, they seem to haven given up in the early 80s and now we either have to "accept it" or "find Jesus" but most of those who find Jesus never really become heterosexual. They just end up denying themselves and live outwardly heterosexual to please people.

If you spend 10 hrs a day praying and 3 hrs a day reading your Bible, go to church any time the doors are open, and never let yourself think gay thoughts, eventually god will make you straight.
NOT!
You will probably eventually do many things your family won't approve of. They cannot make your life decisions.

For starters don't think about a hard chiseled body with an erect penis. Don't think about how good it would feel to be with a sexy man. Keep all of those gay feelings in the closet and don't post in the GLBT section.

I used to pray and beg God to make me straight when I was growing up. I was a child and did not ask to be gay or want to be gay. I forced myself to fantasize about women, but it didn't work.
There's nothing you or anyone else can do about your sexual orientation. You'll be much happier when you learn to accept it.

Well, you could ask the same question several different times and see if that helps.
