My feeling is that you've already made the decision to avoid cleaning the apartment by asking someone else for advice. If you sit in front of the computer, you know what you have to face or ignore when you leave it. If you clean the apartment and keep it that way, you always be able to go back to the computer without having to ignore anything. And you'll feel better about yourself too.

I do both. On my down time, I keep my computer on. I might be cleaning or ironing, but need a break, I go back to the computer for a short time.

Don't stress trying to choose. Next time you get up for a drink or restroom break, pick up a cloth and dampen it. Then lightly swish anything in sight on your way to do your duty. At least you will have a clean path to get you back to what you really want to do.
