I have heard that New Orleans is sinking and will soon float away in the ocean. WHat do you think?

okay lets use our brain here New Orleans has been here since the world was made it has not floated away in all this time it is not going to float away now. Sinking um maybe but Florida to is further in the water and they are doing fine. New Orleans will be fine dont you worry about the city that was not the first time a flood wiped out the city.

OK 1st of all, "sinking" & "floating away" are opposites and it can't be both! 2nd, only something on top of the water could do either of these things. So...neither is your answer! However, what is really meant by "sinking", is that the ocean levels are rising do to polar caps melting. So the land mass that is New Orleans (which by the way is already below sea level) gets lower & lower each year, when you compare it to the level of the sea.
