I have a desktop and DSL connection...I'm wanting to get a laptop and be able to access the internet from it, too, but I think I'm not in a WiFi area. Can I hook up both of these on DSL/cable internet???? Or is there a way to have wireless internet without being in a WiFi area??

Just hook up a wireless router to your DSL modem , you have your own wifi.

Just buy a cheap router and run both through it...or you can ask your isp for a wireless cable modem...but then you would need to purchase wireless networks cards for your computer...A new router is the cheapest way to go.

Good Luck

Buy a router, and the two computers can share the connection. And your laptop could have wireless.

you just need to go get the connections for your first computer. It transfers the signal to the laptop, just like i am using now. i have it on the deskop. you can get it at best buy or even Wal Mart. Linksys is one of the brands. You may need a card for your laptop if you dont have built in wireless. good luck

Most laptops have a ethernet card installed, and this is what will run it. Otherwise you need a wireless router and card for the laptop.
