A skirt suit is fine, as long as the skirt isn't too short, and the color is relatively conservative.
If you are more comfortable in a pantsuit, then stick with that.
Law firms are very, very conservative in their dress code policies, and your outfit will be noted during the interview process, so stick with conservative colors.
Same goes for hose and shoes. Either wear blue, black or nude colored hose depending on the color of outfit you are wearing, and stick with lower heeled shoes.
Don't go crazy with the makeup, either. Foundation, light blush, and go light around the eyes and lips.

Either suit as long as it's clean and pressed. Wear a button-down dress shirt underneath. If you go with the skirt suit, make sure to wear a new pair of pantyhose. Keep your clothes and accessories in the same color family (no black suits with brown shoes), and make sure your handbag matches your shoes. I suggest wearing loafers with a pant suit and a mid-heeled pump with a skirt suit. No matter what, make sure your shoes have closed toes. Keep jewelry small and tasteful, with no more than one earring per ear.
I recommend pulling your hair back and holding it with a tasteful clip or hidden bobby pins. No ponytails! If you want to wear your hair down, I suggest having it straight. Makeup should be VERY natural and professional looking- smooth out your skin as needed and then add a little bit of mascara, blush and a matte nude lipstick. Don't wear any shimmery or glittery makeup. I also suggest not wearing perfume, because about 15% of people have a fragrance sensitivity. Just make sure you take a shower in the morning and wear deodorant!
(PS - I also suggest having a friend "drop by" the firm (ANONYMOUSLY!) to pick up a business card or something. He or she can check out what the employees wear and you can take that into consideration when you dress. However, it's a bit late for that now, so keep it mind for your next interview.)
GOOD LUCK!

Doesn't matter what you wear for the interviewer- it matters what you are comfortable in. If you're more comfortable and feel sexier, go for the skirt suit. I would also do the same for hose and shoes. I haven't worn "hose" in years because I didn't have to. Plus I hate them. I'd wear shoes that make you a little taller but don't make you walk funny. Makeup should be conservative and lighter. It is afterall, summer. Don't forget the lipstick! It adds color to anyone's face!

Skirt and nice shirt low key make up and depending on what color your clothes are either a sandal color or sheer black. you want them to hire for you abilities then you dress ma little more laid back such as dress pants and shell tops and great shoes. ALSO Remember to walk in like you already have the job appear to not care one way or the other very tactfully. when you discuss your comprehension package ask what they are offering then do not say another word until they answerer

I would reccomend a very conservative pantsuit. Once again, conservative shoes in a color that coordintes with the suit, loafers would work well. Makeup is optional, if you choose to wear it do it very lightly.

I agree with what the attorney told you. At first I was shocked he paid that much attention to how a woman is dressed in the workforce. But as a former Court Clerk for 9 years I also know them to be observant.

classy is always a way to go. and if you have it flaunt it. don't go skanky just classy. do those curls, and have some nice makeup (not saturday night dance club), if you have nice legs skirt suit, but not heels (those can get a bit tricky), think about what they wear where you are applying for. and dress according to them (if its a uniform then what you would wear to a first date at a fine dining establishment)

Skirt suit is more professional looking in my eyes than a pant suit. Make-up, if you wear it normally, do so. Don't over do it though. Skin colored hoes and comfortable heals. Remember BE YOURSELF! Good luck!

I'd do the skirt (not short) make up but natural less is best.
Nice shoes - hit TJ Maax for the best names for less.
