I think that Racism is a crime and also a sin in the eyes of God. Racists should remember all humans are made in the image and likeness of God so racism is like spitting in the face of God. To be quite frank stereotypical racists don't deserve an opinion.

No, not according to the dictionary. Having a racist belief system is not a crime. Committing a racist act which is against the law is a crime.
"Racism: The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.
Discrimination or prejudice based on race."
"Crime: An act committed or omitted in violation of a law forbidding or commanding it and for which punishment is imposed upon conviction.
Unlawful activity: statistics relating to violent crime.
A serious offense, especially one in violation of morality.
An unjust, senseless, or disgraceful act or condition: It's a crime to squander our country's natural resources."

Racism in itself is not a criminal offence, but it's often the cause of a crime. Thinking racistically isn't illegal. It's when you act against a particular race that you are commiting a crime.

In Belgium (and probably in most civilized countries) it is a crime!

Racism should be fought against and certainly not be stimulated. Racism is what caused 6 billion jews to die in WW II (not Hitler!), Josif Stalin deported 20+ billion Ukrainian people to Siberia because he didn't like them, Al Quaida members are killing people with Western ideas because they don't like them, the bronx is a dangerous place because the people that live there are discriminated against and frustrated, undereducated, etc because of it... Is that good enough of a reason to make racism illegal?

I dislike Royal Taxis in our area, because they don't conduct business properly, they themselves are racist, they've committed several crimes, as well as being downright rude. Everyone in their company is asian, so therefore I'm classed as committing racism- a crime. The fact that they're a different colour or from a different culture/country doesn't bother me. It's the fact that they're a bunch of so and sos that does.

BTW, despite the opinions of many liberals, pointing out facts like this isn't racist. That's the difference between REAL racism and the non-sequiter of using the term "racist" to label people who just disagree with you. This article will shed alot of light on what's going on with regard to this:

Racism isn't a crime its a fact of life, especially in the countries whose people moan most about it, except they call it tribalism and are proud of it, I'm Yorkshire and proud of it but I wouldn't have people arrested for disagreeing with me. look at all the tribal violence in africa and asia, its not about the colour of your skin its about where u r born and where your family is from, because everybody on the planet think their own people are the best
