It charges and is fully charged but lately when I connect it to put it on my computer it won't. Is it possible that the software update won't work with the mini?

If you have all the music on your laptop you can always have it go back to the factory settings.
I would suggest shutting down your ipod and your computer then reconnecting them and see if that works. I had the same problem but after shutting down my computer it connected back up..

Good luck!
