The truck has been sitting for 2 years. It will turn over but will not start. Plugs and wire are new and a new fuel pump has been installed. There is no fuel getting to the fuel pump (yes the tank has fuel in it). Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Simple suggestion, if you have an in the tank fuel pump, check that you are getting power to the fuel pump. If not then check fueses and wiring for breaks.

If you have a mechanical pump on the side of the motor block take off both of the lines that feed the pump and the carb and blow compressed air through them. Remember to remove your gas cap so the fuel does not build pressure in the tank and force it back through the line into your face. If you cannot get air to pass through either of them then you may have to replace the fuel lines as they are plugged from old gas and possible dirt sitting in them for the 2 years you tell us about.

After 2 years, there might not be and oil left on the piston rings to properly seal. This will cause a big drop in compression. Try slowly pouring or squirting a small amount of oil into the intake with the air filter off. You could also take out all the plugs and add a squirt to each cylinder that way.
I'll bet that works.
The carb is probably gummed up too, It might have to be cleaned.

well are you getting fuel to the carb, if not change the fuel filter, then if not check the lines, somewhere it (the fuel line) might be crushed....if none of those things are problems then the fuel pump is junk..
