To think it not possible, would be very naive of scientific capability, and what is already happening behind closed doors in laboratories around the world. Cloning is not some futuristic concept, it is happening NOW. Transplanting a human face was unheard of just a few years ago, now they have already done two--and have many more scheduled!
The bottom line is that we can expect that maybe even in our lifetimes, that we will see some previously extinct creatures roaming this planet again--or another planet we have managed to inhabit as well!

A dinosaur is an extinct animal: a real thing. Just because they are currently extinct does not make them any less real. There are fossils that contain DNA. The genome of the dinosaur is real: a real thing. We currently do not have the technology to build a dinosaur but soon we will. ANY creature that has a DNA sequence theoretically can be replicated. For example you could generation after generation keep gene splicing MAMMOTH DNA into African Elephant DNA causing a more Mammoth hybrid each new generation. That can be done NOW. I would love to see the Mammoth walk again. I can do without Tyrannosaurus Rex looking in my window though. :)

Some, like the Mammoth, which was found with flesh still frozen to its bones, can be cloned.

No way. Just think about it. If it were possible, wouldn't it have actually happened by now?
