In the UK, the police do not need a warrant to arrest you for any criminal offense if they have reasonable grounds for believing you committed it or may be about to do so. The time of night and where the arrest takes place are totally immaterial as far as the law is concerned.
The police may need a search warrant to search your property, but this does not affect their right to arrest you.

Police officers do not need a warrant to enter your home if they have probable cause to believe that a crime is being commited. What constitutes "probable cause" has been a historic topic of legal debate. Generally speaking, if a police officer has a legitimate, practical reason to believe that he could prevent a specific crime by entering your home, he can do so. Any evidence that he finds after that point is admissable in court. The time of day makes no difference from a legal standpoint.

No, they must issue a warrant for the arrest before they can come to your home/work and arrest you. If they do, follow through with a lawyer.

No one can get arrested without a Warrent, not unless they have reasonable cause e.g they witnessed you committing a crime.
If there is a suspicion then yes, a person can be taken into custody.

Depends what they arrest you for, is it breach of peace? Carrying an offensive weapon? Driving with no licence? They can arrest you with warrants and without... it all depends on the circumstances and the situations you have put yourself in...

depends on what you are being charged with...most times you have to have a warrant, but if someone just robbed a store, and your car and your description fits the suspects, then no. BUT they do have to have a warrant to search your house.

Sure you can if someone press charges on you. Or say for instance a husband hits his wife, she can have him arrested on the spot.
