Yes, buy a "crossed UTP cable" in a computer store. Make sure both the computers have a fixed IP adress in the same subnet (eg 192.168.1.100 and 192.168.1.101). In windows, you might want to put the two computers in the same workgroup, otherwise they won't "see" each other in the network locations window.

Yes You can connect two computer using USB Cable , there is a USB cable which establish connection between two Computer ,
so no lan , no internet required at all..check that usb cable in the market , sorry i just forget that cable name .but sure its available in the computer market.
