Social Security - it will be able to meet all of its obligations through the year 2042. The whole idea that Social Security needs ‘reform’ is nothing but hype... I am very happy that grassroots activism influenced public opinion enough to stop Alan Greenspan, Bush and the Democrats from throwing future senior citizens to the wolves with their stupid privatization, Wall St. benefitting plan.
Long live Social Security, a great acheivement for all Americans!

I believe in social policies that help those that need it in a humane and none blaming way.
The problem with social policies, they are thought up by a bunch of people who have never even seen one that they are making it for. Theirs are usually untested, untried and in general, don't work!
The 1st thing they have to realize is that our economic system makes victims out of a lot of people. We need them so they rich can maintain there hold over capital. They are businesses expendable when they are no longer needed!
Most policies are bad in certain respects, like not giving a woman and child enough to even afford a decent apartment, 2nd rate medical care, no dental so when they teeth are full of cavities, employers bend over backwards to hire them, much less anything else. But they want to force them to have babies. Then they ***** when they steal. You tell me one mother, who cares about her kids, who would not steal so they could eat?
You get up 1,500 to move into an apartment receiving $500 a minth. And these are not just "welfare" people, who are mostly children and could not vote if they wanted to! They are people on Social Security and SSI!
We spend more on the Military and paying the Interest on the deficit rhan all other programs combined.
In other words, our priorities are half baked, and generally benefit the rich. Who makes money, lots of it, off the poor? Slum lords! Many poor pay more for their shelter than the middle income and they don't compare to what you rent!
We give the rich tax breaks, write-offs, rebates and a lot of money, expecting that they will help others. They never do. It is time we take that control out of their hands! Money NEVER trickles down. Ask David Siockman!! When are you going to learn that and quit giving money, ours by the way, to the wealthy??? Some people just are clueless!
The other issue is that the government keeps stealing from Social Security and never repays it. That's why it is in a mess! And Social Security is not a government handout! The trust fund was not set up for government to steal from it. We need a law that will restore the money, with interest, like the ones they charge me if I don't pay my taxes, and set up an independant foundation to manage it. There should be a law that the government cannot touch that money!!

I'm not a Democrat. I don't believe in Social policies trying to be set by them because the general population is stupid and we don't know what's good for us.
