At first I thought you were inviting me.
Now I'm really disappointed. Luckily I do have some of the things you describe in my own home. Smell that roast cooking? It's going to be a good dinner tonight. My surroundings aren't sumptuous, but I do have a nice yard with flowerbeds I can work at in the evening when the day cools down and the breeze is sweet.
And then it's night and I've got a great view of the stars and moon here. I understand what your question is about, but I'm pretty satisfied with this.
Oh, and I have a GREAT sense of humor--just in case you were really looking for someone to invite to your house in England.

i share your enthusiasm for the idea of living in a romantic stress free place. I think the mansion would be great but I've always wanted to live in an enchanting stone cottage in Ireland with a sparkling brook running next to it and the smell of fresh flowers flowing on the breeze. Maybe a giant evergreen forrest off in the distance inviting me on a peaceful walk.

All mansions in England are large and made out of stone.
No-one who lives in one has a sense of humour.
The kitchens are out the back down in the basement where the servants and other subhumans (as far as the mansion owners are concerned) slave their short weary overworked lives away.
The stable serfs and cleaners live in the outhouses and attics and collapse into exhausted sleep each night after having served their "Masters and Betters".
And you want to buy into this sort of thing???
Shame on you.

Just one person with a sense of humour?! You can rent out castles here for not very much and take a load of friends...you can hire the cook (unless you have a chef friend...!) and go riding at a nearby stables. Then you don't have to pay the constant upkeep, and it remains a luxury, rather than becoming the norm!

why do you honestly need a big mansion why not a nice 2 or three bedroom country house with a small stable out back with some land
p.s. big stone mansion are not as cool as they seem they are cold and no matter what you do you will always have some kind of pest living in your house

No!
It would be cold and damp.
I would enjoy the English countryside I'm sure. Maybe the English countryside on a horse running wild could be fun!
