I have registered at my local college, to tend in the Fall. I originally was going to take: Medical billing& coding... But, when I went down to the college I was informed, that they now have a Medical Assistance, course, here locally. I want to go with the one, that will land me the highest paying job. Does anyone know which one pays better? Anyone out there in the medical field, would be best at answereing this question. Thank-You, for your imput.

Definately Billing and Coding! The hospital I work at pays new grads $14.32 to start. After you have accumulated a couple years experience, you can earn as much as $24.00/hr! Some facilities even let you work from home with experience! Medical assistants are overworked and underpaid at $9.00/hr to $14.00/hr if you're lucky. It is also a thankless, stressful job.

I suggest using the website Salary.com to find high, low and average salaries for those jobs IN YOUR AREA. This will give you a good idea of what you can expect to earn.
