No, just a superstition, it means merely that you have to replace it. Ages ago, mirrors were very expensive, so if you broke one, you had to pay for it, and that could take forever. Perhaps that is were the seven years of bad luck came into being. Took that long to pay it off.

yes, bad luck since you lost the mirror, you have to clean it up... etc... if you are in good luck, you would still have the mirror and at the same time you won a million dollar lottery!

the stigmata of a breaking mirrior is derived as such: the mirror has shattered, what it shows is shattered too, therefore, the belief is that when you shatter a mirror, as it is reflecting you, it shatters your life as well. screw that, make your own destiny. only you can give yourself bad luck by having a negative attitude.
