why do white people think their better than others?

i have been condescended to, talked down, ignored by white people as if they were kings and queens. why do they feel they have this preeminence?is it just me or have u been treated similarly? why do u white people thin your special?

What makes you think ALL white people are like that? Maybe you need to stop and do some soul searching to see how you present yourself as well as who you hang out with.
I have friends that come from all walks of life and different colors. We do not see any of that, we have a good time together and that is what counts!!!!

I'm black and I dont think that all white people think their better than black people. I have lots of friends all differnt races, and social statusus. Not all white people are alike. I think that people are just as bad when they steryotype people as a whole. Like your last line. I thought that that was very rude, You put back the entire non-white race when you say comments like that. I mean, sure, some white people are just rude and evil, but thats thier problem, thier hate is hurting them not you, it might hurt emotionaly, but when you think about it who's the better person? That is all that matters.

I'll forgive the generalization, as it's easy to do that when angry.
I put it down to hundreds, if not thousands of years of white 'mans' dominance over other cultures, so making us(yes, I'm 'white') think wrongly, that we are something special.
Look at christianity, for example. A white jesus? Hmm, ok...If he ever did exist, I'm sure he'd have been anything other than white!
I lived for many years as a child in an area that hated my cultural background, so I have a knowledge of prejudice, if not racism.
I blame the west.(another generalisation)

I don't know any white people who think they are better than anyone else. Let me ask this. Where does this happen? What is your attitude? How do you dress? Act? Speak? Do you play you radio at max volume bass vibrating all the cars around you at the red light? You have car emblems hanging around your neck? You have to think about your image. How you present yourself to the world. Disrespect yourself, you disrespect the people you come in contact with.

I think most whites are tired of racial BS. And they don't tolerate attitude. They don't have to. They work hard to pay taxes for those who would rather not work and sit around and drink 40oz.

When is the last time you showed some respect to a white person? Rich people might be snoty, but it doesn't matter what color they are. You seem to have issue with all whites.

HHmm let me see. Walking around, pre-eminance, rejection. Sounds like you're a black racist that lacks basic social skills, common courtesy, you know, manners. We (white people and civilized people in general) don't like to be picked up off the street like trash. There's a time and a place for everything. Your behavior needs to match the setting you're in. If you believe all these negative things about white people, and you believe all rejection is based on race, then you will not make white friends. And it doesn't sound like you want to.
Some of comments here are just so blatantly racist against white people I don't wonder why there so much tension between the races.

Not all white people think they are. I don't. Many white people are rednecks that once had familys that owned slaves. They then think that they are better then others. Also many of the richer white people are poumpus bastards.

I don't think I am special because of my skin color, i think it's how our ancestors treated your ancestors and so we get the reprocussions of dealing with it also. I don't treat anyone different. You may not believe that but, I do not treat someone because they are different than I. Why? life is too short to fight.

It works both ways - I'm white and I've had black people snub me. I've tried hard to raise my kids not to judge people by the color of their skin. My grandkids didn't know the term "black person" until they started school and it was taught to them. By categorizing people as black, white, or hispanic we are teaching our children we are different.
